At Willy’s Graham and I enjoy making your stay memorable.
We want you to feel the freedom, hear the silence, soak up the country and breathe the fresh air of the mountains. We offer our renovated 1940s farm house – Graham’s family home – situated on our working dairy farm 5km north of Corryong in the magnificent Upper Murray – we believe the jewel of Victoria. Willy’s has been renovated to maintain the original farm house look and feel. Not perfect but homely, comfy and very welcoming. The kind of place you throw off your shoes and snuggle under nannas crochet rug in front of the wood heater. We even supply the hot chocolate!
Try cooking your porridge on the slow combustion stove in the kitchen – the hub of a farm house. Watch the cows walk by as they leave the dairy for greener pasture. Meet our dogs Aussie and Sophie – the kids will adore them – and we have a cat Zebby. Cows are calving March/April and Sept/Oct so maybe you will be lucky enough to watch a calving. Walk to the top of Sheep Hill (or we will transport you) for the most amazing valley views. Take a picnic or barbie – i’ts amazing. Take a night walk to see what native animals abound (torches supplied). Star gazing – look for satellites and planes as they pass over (mats supplied).
The property backs on to State Park. Why not take a stroll in the park. Spot the wildflowers, insects, birds and native animals.
Back at the house, after all that, be stunned by the views from the front deck. 180 degree valley views overlooking Corryong with a hint of Mt Kosciuszko in the distance. The barbie is great here – helped along with a little ‘chardy.’
Our aim is to make your stay memorable in our “country house with a few foibles”
